Jeff White has several years experience in LAN administration and providing hardware and software support and training in Windows environments including Windows 95, 98 and 2000. He is skilled in the installation and configuration of current and upgraded personal computer components such as network cards, modems, SCSI devices, CD-ROM's, CD-RW's, hard drives, printers, memory, USB devices, and floppy drives and providing regular maintenance to those components and software.
Jeff also has experience in vendor management for installation and/or replacement of high-speed Internet lines and configuring the software required to access the Internet. Jeff is also experienced in network and telephone cabling installations as well as the installation of phone systems including ISDN type systems.
Michael Pope received his first personal computer at age 8 and has been working with computers ever since.
Michael is an experienced Systems and Network Administrator with several years’ experience in providing hardware and software support. He specializes in troubleshooting and repairing personal computers, laptops and servers, as well as local and network printers. He has administrated security for multiple operating system and application environments including OS/2, AS/400, NetWare 3 and 4.11, Windows 9x, Windows NT 4.0 and Windows 2000 Active Directory. He is experienced with automating system maintenance, including software rollouts. He is knowledgeable in supporting software test phases and is a capable project manager.
In addition, Michael is adept in the following languages: DOS batch, NT batch, ADSI, WMI, HTML, XHTML, CSS and the various flavors of JavaScript/ECMAScript.
Rick began using computers when the original Apple Macintosh was released. He has some experience in programming, especially in VBA. Rick also has experience with peripheral hardware installation and memory upgrades.
After twenty years as a scientist, Rick is now successful in the realm of outside sales, specializing in wireless and other emerging technologies.
Shannon is a Systems Engineer who has approximately 10 years experience working with a wide variety of technologies. His expertise lies within Microsoft Windows based networks; however, he is extremely proficient in network design, firewall and security, Linux, hardware, and much more. Shannon holds several certifications including Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE), Network Plus and A Plus. He attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where he obtained a Bachelors degree and was a 3-time All-American in track and field.
Shannon began his career as a service technician working for a local hardware reseller. By repairing and building 40-60 computer systems per week, he was able to gain a tremendous amount of knowledge and troubleshooting skills. Shannon's next position was with Productivity Point International, one of the largest technical training companies in the world. There he worked his way from an entry-level technician to the regional setup coordinator for the Southeast US. His responsibilties included managing a team of 10 technicians who maintained 28 classrooms of over 300 computers. Through this experience, Shannon became skilled at setting up and maintaining complicated networks of various operating systems and configurations.
Since leaving PPI in 1998, Shannon has continued to excel in the technology industry. As a senior systems engineer, he has supported multiple businesses and organizations providing network redesign, application development and hosting, and branch office connectivity. In addition to his hands-on expertise, Shannon has demonstrated an exceptional ability to relate with and transfer knowledge to others. He has trained over a thousand students in a range of technical classes including MCSE, Linux, A Plus, Net Plus, and proprietary courses for corporations in the US and abroad. In 2000, Shannon was awarded Trainer of the Year by a technical training company. The competition for the award included 40 other trainers worldwide.
Kurtis started his career 15 years ago receiving training in computer database programs such as WordStar. His career took off in 1997 as an administrator for a small domain. Kurtis then began at Convergys working as a Cisco TAC engineer in 1999. He worked on several teams including IOS Routing, Switching and finally VPN where he obtained extensive intensive knowledge of PIX firewalls, Cisco VPN concentrators (formerly Altiga), and Cisco Routers (800-7500). He handled 80-120 cases per month for almost 3 years that ranged from small simple configurations to very large networks with complicated designs that including multi vendor environments. Kurtis' intensive experience includes but not is not limited to VPN, ISDN, IOS Firewall, NAT, Cisco Works, TCP IP, VLSM, PKI, RSA Encryption, RIP, EIGRP, OSPF, Checkpoint, ATM and frame-relay. In September, 2002 he began working with the third largest network in the world as a Senior Security Infrastructure Engineer designing, deploying, configuring and monitoring over 300 pairs of redundant firewalls located throughout the country. His list of certifications include CCNP with Security, CCNA, MCSE and A+ and he is currently pursuing his CCIE.
