RTP Computer Services, Inc. the Newest Small Business Specialist in the Triangle
RTP, NC - November 15, 2005 - RTP Computer Services, Inc. has become the latest company to attain the Microsoft Small Business Specialist designation in the Triangle. To achieve this new designation, RTP Computer Services has demonstrated expertise in planning and building solutions for businesses with less than 50 employees.
Small Business Specialist, a competency designation, is part of the Microsoft® Partner Program. It was developed in response to input from customers and partners that expressed a need to build easier connections that enable small-business customers to quickly and easily identify technology partners best suited to support them.
“We are proud to now have the Small Business Specialist designation from Microsoft,” said Jeff White, one of the company’s founders. “By being one of the very few companies in this area to hold this designation, we are underscoring our commitment to meeting the technology needs of the small businesses in the Triangle region.”
As one of the requirements for attaining Small Business Specialist status, RTP Computer Services had to prove knowledge of the dynamics and dependencies of the small-business market, as well as the value to small business of several software solutions, including Windows® XP Professional, Microsoft Office 2003 and Windows Small Business Server 2003. In addition, the company also had to pass a certification exam that measures the ability to design and implement solutions for the small and medium-sized business by using Windows Small Business Server 2003 and the Windows Server System
